Our Story

Portostone was born from an opportunity discovered on the ground. Jean David Singamalom, based in Porto de Mós, Portugal, identified the exceptional potential of the region's limestone quarries for the European market. With family roots in the Leiria region, the Singamalom family naturally built a direct bridge between Portuguese quarries and trade professionals — no middlemen, with rigorous quality control at every step.

This is a family business: Jean David manages sourcing and operations from Porto de Mós in Portugal, while Ludovic Singamalom, based in Brittany, France, handles quality control and monitoring, coordinates deliveries, serves as the local point of contact for French clients, and leads commercial representation in France.

Launched with France as its primary market, Portostone is also developing exports to other demanding markets — including the United States and the United Arab Emirates — where high-quality natural stone is highly sought after by architects and prestige developers.
